Get your creativity flowing in Haldimand County this Thursday at 7 PM with a glass fusing workshop for adults and teens ages 14 and up at Creative Barracks Arts Studio in Dunnville. In these weekly sessions, you’ll learn the basics of glass fusing in a relaxed, welcoming space. Start by designing and arranging coloured sheet glass into a pattern or shape you love. Then, instructors fire your creation in a kiln so the pieces melt and bond together into a single, glossy artwork you can take home. This workshop is perfect whether you’re new to fused glass or you just want a fun night of hands-on creativity with friends or family. All materials are provided, and you leave with something real; not just a photo of a good time. It’s a great way to try something artistic without pressure, slow down from the regular routine, and make something beautiful with your own hands. Weekly sessions mean you can come again and build your skills, or make new projects to give as gifts, decorate your home, or just enjoy seeing your own bright, colourful creation come to life.
Spend your Thursday evening experimenting with colour, texture, and heat (in theory) in our fused glass workshops, held from 7-9 pm. These classes introduce you to the creative possibilities of kiln-fused glass in a welcoming, beginner-friendly environment, allowing you to make 2 works of art per workshop.
You’ll design and assemble your own glass pieces using a curated selection of glass, frits, and stringers, learning how layering and composition affect the final result. Once your pieces are complete, they will be kiln-fired after class and ready for pickup at a later date.
No experience is necessary—this workshop is all about playful exploration, creative decision-making, and trusting the process.
Our instructors guide you throughout while leaving plenty of room for personal expression.
