Who Would You Vote For? Haldimand County Pulse Launches Unofficial Election Poll

Election Day is getting closer, and Haldimand County voters now have a chance to see how the local races are shaping up in an unofficial Haldimand County Pulse poll.

We’ve launched our 2026 Haldimand County Municipal Election Poll, featuring candidates for Mayor and Council across the county.

The idea is simple: choose the candidate you would vote for if the election were held today, then see how other people are voting.

This is not an official election poll, and the results should not be considered a prediction of what will happen on Election Day. It’s an informal snapshot of people who choose to participate through Haldimand County Pulse.

Vote for Mayor and Your Ward Councillor

The poll includes the mayoral race along with the individual Council races across Haldimand County.

We’ve also included information about the candidates to help residents learn more about the people asking for their vote. As the campaign continues, Haldimand County Pulse will be adding more election coverage and opportunities for candidates to speak directly to local residents.

One Vote Per IP Address

To help prevent repeat voting, the poll is limited to one vote per IP address.

The counters were reset immediately before the poll officially launched, so everyone started from zero.

Because this is an open online poll rather than a scientific survey of Haldimand County voters, the results will reflect the people who choose to participate. They should be viewed as an interesting look at reader sentiment rather than a representative measure of the entire electorate.

And, of course, voting in our poll does not count as voting in the actual municipal election.

There is still plenty of campaign left before Haldimand County voters make their official choices.

Candidates will be knocking on doors, answering questions, attending debates and making their case to residents throughout the county.
